Alhamdulillah, Kluang Municipal Council has successfully obtained the Happiest City Award of 2026. This award was presented by YB Tuan Nga Kor Ming, Minister of Housing and Local Government to YBhg. Datuk Haji Abdul Ghani Bin Abdul Rashid, Chief Whip of Kluang Municipal Council, accompanied by TPr. Haji Iskandar Bin Suparlan, Head of the Urban Planning and Landscape Department, MPK. Also present were MPK Council Members in the program.
This recognition is in conjunction with the National Level World Happiness Day Celebration Ceremony 2026 with the theme "Digitally Smart, Create Happiness Together". This award is given to the city that achieves the highest score in the Malaysian Happiness Index through the MURNInets Program assessment implemented by PLANMalaysia and measurement through the Malaysian Happinest Index (MHI) by the Department of Statistics Malaysia. This success is more meaningful when both PBTs in Kluang District, namely MPK and MDSR, also received the same recognition.
A heartfelt appreciation and thanks to all who contributed to this success, including all the people of Kluang for their commitment, cooperation and strong support in making Kluang a harmonious, prosperous and happy city.
