Kluang Municipal Council (MPK) was honoured with the ASEAN Clean Tourist City Standard Award 2026–2028 at the National Level by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia (MOTAC) on 15 October 2026. The award ceremony was held at Dewan Sanggar Pujangga, MOTAC, Putrajaya.
The award was presented by YBhg. Dato' Shaharuddin bin Abu Sohot, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia, to Mr. Mohd Fahmy bin Yahya, President of Kluang Municipal Council.
MPK successfully secured this prestigious recognition after fulfilling all the assessment criteria under the ASEAN Clean Tourist City Standard, following an evaluation conducted by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia (MOTAC) in September 2025.
